5th march 09

today we went around asking people to do heads , shoulders , knees and toes but no one would it!!! it was so fuastrating! and i did lose my temper alot because i asked them so nicely and they just conme up with a staright up no!!

after spending most of the aternoon lesson asking people to do the dance for us i just gave up and carried on with doing my storyboard and sticking in all my loose bits of work that needed to be handed in.

my project

for the past few weeks i have been planing and researching for my project which is a horror film trailer.

i have done:

* watched loads of trailers and print screened some of them for proof
*watched a couple of horror films and print screened

13th-16th january 2009

Tuesday-

i wasnt in but i was told what was done in the lesson.

in the lesson the class looked at HMT's eg writing , improving text = showing how it looks on web intergance for example your name....info about yourself

there was also a agrument between jade and mark!!

wednesday-

we had a production meeting that did not go well because group members were not present and the members that were here got distracted and started talking about other stuff!!

tuesday 6th january 09:

In todays lesson we were asked to find three different websites good,bad and ugly. we had to get the URL's of the websites and put them on the sheet we got given which we had to fill out. we also printscreened some part of the website and pasted them on the sheet and then answered the questions.

• the websites i did was msn web messenger, facebook and bebo which i answered questions on. i chose these websites as good websites because i am mostly glued to these websites 24/7
• for ugly i used the website thebiguglywebsite which is so horrific its un-believable!! it has the most unnecessary unwanted things on it!! most of the things were really distburbing so i think this website should just be closed!!
• A bad website was the uglyduckling website because it had nothing on it. it was really really boring!! no wonder why its called the ugly duckling.

i wasnt in on this day but but i did catch up with the work. we had to carry on with good,bad and ugly sheet and finish it off.

thursday 8th january 09:

In todays lesson we:

• we prepared questions for Tim Marcarthey our client
• asked Tim the questions on what he would like on the website by giving him our ideas and balancing it with his so that at the end of this process everyone is happy and gets their idea listened to
• the project that we are doing is designing a website for southeastern rail to help the learners there have more interest in their learning
• how ever tim did not say much as our client we did expect him to be more open and express his ideas so that we can build up from his ideas.
• also tim did not agree with most of our ideas which did anoy us because we want to make it fun and jazzy so that it is interesting to look at and make you wanna carry on using the website but tim wanted to still keep it professional whicvh means it will still look boring as the current website they have!!!!

friday 9th january 09:

today we had a class discussion on production media and wrote up a chart and brain storm to help us get ideas and also help us with future needs.

then after we typed up about our favourite website/film ect but i i could not type anything because all the websites i wanted to do where blocked because of the classroom we are in.

making trading cards in indesign

i felt before i used indeign that its going to be really hard but ater when i started using it i found out that its easy to use.

as i was designing my trading card i relised that because my figurine was lost i couldnt use my actual information on the trading card so instead i had to make a template so that bi know what to include on my actual trading card.

1-5th december

this we started to make our figurines.
my figurine is based on me and how i am. my figurine reflects to by :

• i have really long hair- i gave the figurine really long
• im aways on the phone-the figurine has a phone on its ear like its talking on the phone
• into fashion e.g got style-it has stylish cloths on
• im a angel-i gave the figurine angel wings
• devil horns with haylow on top of the horns-the figurine has devil horns because i can be naughty but then on top of the horns is a haylow which represents the kind side of me.
• i have boys wrapped round my fingers- on the figurine theres string with little boys habging of them because im showing how i yo yo boys.

all these points represent little things about me.

what we have done in the week

Tuesday-
Mel came in to the lesson to show us how to do knitting which i found really hard to get the hang of!!! so instead i did sewing and made a cushion which i am really proud of!!
i didnt get any skills from this day but it did make me relise that i had a very good skill in sewing.

Wednesday-
Wendy who designed the seats for british air ways first class came in to tell us about what she does and helped us with our planing for our figurines.
she also gave us doelite which is a clay but its very different to other clays because its very light and when it drys it goes rock hard.
from this lesson it helped me gain ideas for ma figurine.

Thursday-
we drawed up figurines and made them out of plastercine.
i had loads of fun making them and after i finished making one figurine i wanted to make more!!and evryones ideas were just flowing.
we also took pictures of our figurines and stuck them into our sketch books and wrote up a evaluation.
right at the end me, maria and eren put all our figurines together and made our own figurine family and took pictures of it and printed them out and put them into our sketch books.
in this lesson i have had the most fun out of all the lesson since we have started this new unit.

Friday-
we each wrote about one person in the class and then wrote them up on the board. after we did that we draw them which had to link to the words they were described by.
we also had to write down our words that got written for ourselfs then we had to draw ourselfs based on the words that were written about us.
we did these drawings of ourselfs because next lesson we are going to make figurines of ourselfs based upon these words that got written about usd which describe us.
